Domestic abuse in the workplace : the role of HR in protection, prevention and practice.

Domestic abuse is often thought of as something that happens behind closed doors. But its impact does not stay at home – it can affect every part of a person's life – including their work.

For employers, this can show up in lots of different ways: changes in behaviour, performance, attendance, wellbeing or working relationships. And for the person experience abuse, work may be one of the few places where something feels visibly, steady or safe.

That means that HR and people professionals can play an important role in recognising the signs, responding with care and confidence, and helping organisations create the right support.

Join us for an important and thoughtful conversation about domestic abuse in the workplace, with a focus on prevention, protection and practical action.

Together we'll consider how HR can help shape safer workplaces, support employees well, and respond in ways that are informed, compassionate and effective.

Through practical insight, expert perspectives, lived experience, and a supportive and thoughtful space to learn, we'll explore how organisations in Wales can take meaningful action, helping to shape safer workplaces, support employees well, and respond in ways that are informed, compassionate and effective.
